In our local MLS (Multiple Listing Service), sellers can decide to put their homes on the Private Network before going live in the public MLS.  This is often done while the seller puts finishing touches on the home or the Real Estate agent is waiting for the professional photographs to arrive. Only Realtors with access to the MLS can see these listings (they do not show up on Zillow, Trulia, Realtor.com, etc)

This home showed up in the Private Network just before Christmas and the seller’s agent allowed us to preview the home. My clients instantly fell in love and we were able to put a deal together immediately.
