I was born into a Real Estate Family

My great-grandfather and grandfather worked in real estate in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Growing up in the northern suburbs of Chicago, my mother worked as Real Estate Agent and my father was a Property Manager. My brother and sister both received their real estate licenses after college.

Then it was my turn. After college, I began working at Chicago’s famed Marina City as a leasing and sales agent. However, my love of American Sign Language (ASL) brought me to Washington, DC where I earned a MA in Interpretation from Gallaudet University.

I worked as a RID Certified Sign Language Interpreter for over 20 years. Interpreting helped me to develop excellent listening skills, integrity, patience, and a general love for assisting people. I became accustomed to working in unpredictable situations and with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.great

Back to the family business

When my husband and I fulfilled our dream of moving to the “exurbs” of Chicago and found a house with land in Northern Lake County, I realized there are other people like me and I could help fulfill their dreams too!

I knew it was time to go back to the family business

Now I have the best of both worlds…My dream home and the ability to help others find theirs too!

I love working with everyone…buyers, sellers, empty nesters, first time home buyers, etc. I also get to use my new found “country skills” and help people look beyond the typical suburbs and into homes with open space, unincorporated areas or even hobby farms.

As your Real Estate Agent, I can guide you through all the choices available to you in Lake County and beyond.

Education

Education is important to me and I’m always eager to learn new things to better serve my clients. I currently hold three designations: SRES and SRS and ABR.

The SRES is the Seniors Real Estate Specialist– additional training to work with Seniors looking to downsize or transition to another type of housing.

The SRS is the Seller’s Representative Specialist– additional training to better serve my clients looking to sell their homes.

The ABR is the Accredited Buyer’s Representative –additional training to better serve my clients looking to purchase a home.
